On the 20th of March Gerard Batten, UKIP Interim Leader visited Gloucester. During his visit he met with UK Glass Eels Owner and Managing Director Peter Woods ,to discuss how Brexit will help Peter’s company trade with the rest of the world. Joining Gerard were Ernie Warrender, UKIP national spokesperson for small business, Richard Ford interim South West Chairman, Glenville Gogerly Stroud Chairman & Gloucestershire Press Officer and Brian Cooke Stroud Secretary and Audio Visual Officer.
After a successful meeting Gerard made a keynote speech at the Guild Hall in Gloucester City centre where he discussed his vision for UKIP in the near future. He was joined on stage by Reece Coombe, Deputy Chairman of Young Independence. Reece made a powerful speech on the freedom of speech and Ernie Warrender also gave a great speech and stated that UKIP was back in the black with it’s finances.
